The Role
I really enjoyed the internship over the summer. I felt I was using my spare time in a positive way by contributing to
Everyone in the office and mobile workers who were sometimes in the office were very welcoming and friendly. I was made to feel part of the team as soon as I started and felt that they really appreciated the work that I completed.
The support I recieved throughout the internship was very high. My manager was always happy to help with any query I have and if she was not in that day I felt confident to ask anyone in the office if they could provide any help. I also had a mentor, who was not always working in the office but she always made sure to reply quickly to any emails I sent her.
Thye workload was completely dependent on the time during the internship. As I was working on a specific project it meant that at the beginning at the internship my workload was fairly slow as I was just doing research but then in the weeks leading up to the project I was much busier.
I was given an amount of responsibitily that was adequate for me as I was glad I had to clear everything with my manager as this meant she could give me guidance with anything that she thought could be different or improved.
I was very lucky to be able to attend a course at the beginning of the internship that gave me a much better understanding of cancer and what people who have cancer are going through.
The Company
The office atmosphere had a very good balance. It wasnt silent but wasnt too loud that you couldnt get on with your work.
My manager had not overseen an internship before but couldnt have done a better job. There was also a specific person in the head office that was responsible for the interns.

I would like to do a placement with the company in a different department to learn more about the organisation and the third sector.
The Culture
There were two other interns based in the office and we would regulary catch up in out lunch breaks.
I live close to the office so I was used to the cost of living in this area.
The area is local so I am used to the nightlife.
There were oppertunities on the internship induction days in London.
