The Role
I very much enjoyed my time with Macmillan.
My colleagues were extremely welcoming and approachable. I could not have asked for a more positive and helpful environment to work in.
My line manager continually guided me throughout the whole process and was extremely approachable.
I always had a variety of work tasks to be getting on with.
I was given a fair bit of responsibility. But, ultimately, all work had to be proof-read and checked over by one of my colleagues - which is the nature of PR and Media!
The writing and communication skills I have developed will certainly assist me in my university degree.
The Company
Constantly fun and positive. You really felt a part of the team from day one.
Work was regular and routine. Should I have completed my list of things to do, my colleagues always had organised some more.
I was able to shadow and discuss with other departments, as well as attend workshops and conferences that helped enhance my overall experience.

A lot of interns are given employment opportunities within Macmillan on completing their internship.
The Culture
There was a lively and vibrant social scenes with lots of chances to get to know your colleagues - including picnics!
Being London, the cost ws extremely expensive.
Also, being London, the nightlife was extremely vibrant.
