  • Really enjoyed it. It made me definately want to work for them in the future.

  • I found everyone at Amex willing to help and give up some of their own time ot support you, even people that were not in my direct team.

  • The workload tends to vary from day/week to day/week. Working in Finance you tend to find the beginning of the month and end of month a bit busier.

  • It was encouraged from early one to take ownership of certain tasks/activitets so that in the future they would be my responsibility and I would have something to put my name to..

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Really nice atmospher and culture in the office, good balance between working hard but also enjoying yourself in the work you do and enjoying the people you work with.

  • There is structure to the placement/internship that they set out to you on your first day during your induction.

  • You meet many senior people who also started at Amex as an intern or placement student and are still there 10/20 years later, having moved between many different roles and locations.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We had a really good programme of events with other interns and graduates to get to know them in a social setting. Also had some events with your specific team/colleagues.

  • Brighton is great for going out and socialising in the evenings. Lots of bars and resturants.
