The Role
I particularly enjoyed the job as the longer it went on I gained more responsibility and gained tasks.
I felt like everyone was always happy to help me if I got stuck on anything.
Half way through the year my Line Manager changed therefore there was a confusion with which tasks I had to do but towards the end I had regular feedback on my performance.
This varied from week to week as Finance is a very Month end related business.
I gained responsibility as my time passed here so towards the end i had a lot of responsibilities.
I think experience with SAP and EBP and extra knowledge with Excel will help massively for the future.
The Company
I think there was the right balance between having a laugh and doing work. It was quite a lively atmosphere.
The handover period was a bit unorganised but during the placement I always knew what i was doing.
We had 2 training days during the year which helped a lot with the job.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
There are not many jobs available in Finance at Pirelli.
The Culture
All the students hung out weekly and the xmas party and birthday do's were very good.
Burton was very cheap to live in.
The nightlife however was not very good.
I do not think there were that many opportunities to get involved in activities outside work but during the year many of the student tried to sort out nights out and various socialising activities during the year.
