The Role
It was brilliant, a great opportunity and experience to now have. I was able to communicate what I wanted to get out of my year at Pirelli and this was accommodated as much as possible.
I was like a normal member of staff, I was really welcome and we all got on really well. Baring in mind I was the only student it was great.
My manager made sure I was able to contact him at any time should I need to and tried to talk with me one a fortnight to see how I was getting on.
I was relatively busy however this did vary due to the nature of motorsport as a market for example Fridays would usually be quite as all the customers would have their tyres of racing at the weekend.
I was given some responsibility, most however went to full time members of staff. I was responsible for the tasks I was allocated and I was solely responsible for the completion of them.
I now have a working understanding of SAP and EBP which is great for me going into the working world. I also now have first hand business examples for my final year.
The Company
It was very relaxed and pleasant.
It was done through NTU and was organised well.
I was show how to use SAP and EBP I also had some excel training whilst with the company.
I would like to go back if the possibility was to arise. It is a shame that they do not offer graduate programmes.
The Culture
I was the only student, and most of the people in the office were a fair bit older but we still had a good laugh together.
It was expensive to live in Didcot Oxford which was where I was based. Definitely more so then Nottingham.
Barely any unless you wanted to go to oxford/London which was an easy train journey away.
