The Role
Gained many experiences throughout and has provided me with transferrable skills for the future.
If they didnt employ an intern then someone else would be doing the job as they give you a high level of responsibility.
Initial manager left half way through so transferring to another manager who had much less time however this has now been rectified, always someone to ask even if not your direct manager.
Always something to be getting on with, if not ask and someone can provide you with something.
Made reports and carried out tasks independently that were used externally.
Showed me I am interested in the finance area, training received will help me when going further.
The Company
Everyone very welcoming and approachable to help whenever possible.
Placement programme well set up across the company as has been running for many years.
They give you a lot of time and resources in enhancing your potential within the company through training courses and time with people cross functionally.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Maintain contact and show interest.
The Culture
In the department all placement students helped each other out to get the most productive outcome.
Area where socialising is quite difficult as family orientated area being such a close commute to London.
Very little but if you know people close to the area would be better.
Have an organisation that provides events outside of work, I never used them.
