The Role
I felt it was the best fit for my placement year - I was glad I chose to work here.
Your work was always appreciated, you were doing stuff that really added value.
I was given lots of support at the start, which was reduced over time as I became more capable. But if needed it, I felt I could still receive help.
At the start I didn't have that much - but over time it was built up so you weren't overwhelmed at the start. But how busy I was varied day to day, but there is always lots to do.
Again this was built up over time, but by the end I was given lots of real responsibility.
I was trained in Microsoft Office, which is something I can use in my final year of University and beyond.
The Company
Very friendly - you are automatically included into the team and made to feel welcome.
It was pretty well organised, as they have had many years of interns.
There are quite a few areas of training you can get involved in - but it's up to you how involved you get.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I think this a great company to work for - but as its quite a small company it depends on job opportunities.
The Culture
It depends on how actively you try to arrange with other interns, as there aren't many cross department events.
I didn't live in the area, but from what other interns say it was around average. As it isn't a student area the socialising wasn't extremely cheap but a fair price.
Frimley itself is very quiet, but there are more lively areas near by e.g. Guilford.
There is a company social club, this does trips out and sports lessons. There are also occasionally company meals outs and events.
