  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great introduction to actuarial work. Really useful to see if the career is one for you

  • Everyone always willing to help. Can ask everybody questions about the work and they are happy to answer

  • Regular meetings with manager to discuss progress and the work you have been doing throughout the internship

  • At times really busy... At times quiet. Depending on the number of people in the office

  • Similar work to recent starting graduate

  • Gave a great insight into how the theory leaned at uni is applicable to real life situations. Would really benefit those thinking of actuarial career

  • Everyone kind and friendly. Colleagues often meet up out of work hours

  • Real thought had been put uni the development of the program - similar to that of graduate program

  • Places often offered to summer interns. Seen as a real route into the organisation

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • All of the other interns were great and friendly. Recent graduates very sociable with each other and the interns

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cheap considering the proximity to London

  • A bit of a quiet place but London isn't too far away!!
