Introduction to the Programme

Our nine week long Summer Internship and Industrial Placement Year Programmes are designed to give you an insight into our business, an understanding of our culture and an invaluable opportunity to help us forge lasting legacies with worthy causes through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

During your placement, you will be contributing to our business and taking on real responsibility. You will be supported by a 'buddy', a mentor and comprehensive training to give you the necessary technical knowledge and business skills. In line with our CSR policies, we'll also challenge you to make a difference. You will be involved in group charity projects which help local communities and will allow you to demonstrate your ability to work with clients, as well as develop team-working and communication skills. You will be fully supported by the people you meet to maximise your exposure to our business and help you to get the most out of your time with us.

Around our businesses, our formal Internship and Industrial Placement Programmes are viewed as a high-potential pipeline for our Graduate Programmes. As a participant you will be automatically considered for a place on our Graduate or future Internship Programmes based on your performance and achievements during your time with us, with no further assessment necessary.

Training and development

During your placement, you will be contributing to our business, taking on real responsibilities and having to manage your work effectively. You will be assigned a mentor to help guide you through your placement and answer any questions you have about your work and our business.

Technical training and business skills will be a core part of your Programme, ensuring you leave us with a better understanding of the professional world and how best to make your way in it.

Although an Internship or Placement Year does not guarantee a place on our Graduate Programme, a significant proportion of our candidates have gone on to successfully embark on a career with us.
