    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Advising on defined benefit pension schemes in the UK. the role of investment analyst includes sending emails internally and externally to investment managers, actuaries and clients, producing quarterly meeting papers and attending/presenting at these meetings, and analyzing market and client data.

  • Yes, I have been given responsibility for regular tasks, presenting at a client meeting, communicating with and issuing formal advice and documents to clients, and organizing the delivery of projects.

  • The team were extremely supportive, patient, very willing and keen to teach me new skills and always involve me in new projects and opportunities. Formal support included a manager, buddy, mentor and a female mentorship group.

  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year. While it has been stressful at times, I have had an incredible amount of opportunities and developed so many new skills. I'm very grateful for the Leeds team for making this experience so great!
