The Role
Enjoyable when I was busy. But not enough work.
Not always passed down work. Colleagues are busy most of the time with their own work, so it becomes difficult to keep delegating work and explaining fully to interns.
If help was needed, it was always given.
Not very busy on a daily basis. Some times I had a lot of work, whereas other times it was dead. Not consistent.
Not a lot of responsibility given as you enter the company at a low level. Any work completed must be checked and scrutinised. Only work that was do-able was passed along. Nothing too challenging.
Didn't really recieve any technical training. Learnt a few things in Excel that may help/assist in the future. Nothing major gained.
The Company
Atmosphere was not dull, but in an office environment, everybody got down to their work most of the time.
The internship could be more organised, with regular work being given to interns. Potentially assign someone in charge of delegating work.
The company invests more in new graduates, by funding their studies and paying for them to sit the Institute exams. As an intern, there is not a lot invested in you.
Would like to try other organisations before accepting a position with this organisation.
The Culture
Many socials organised throughout the internship. Colleagues were very welcoming.
Cost was reasonable.
Only been out the once, so the nightlife seemed fairly good.
A few oppurtunities, not a lot.
