    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed nearly all the work I was given, and got on well with everyone. I was made to feel comfortable and settled in quickly. Only downside was I wasn't given my first choice of office location which meant an 1 hour and 20 min commute everyday

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Despite everyone being busy there was no one who didn't have enough time to help with anything I was struggling with, I was treated as an equal straight away

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There were catch up meetings every couple of weeks to check my progress and to see what work I'd been getting

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I would have liked to have been busier the work flow tended to vary a lot

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given lots of work which was important but since everything is checked it didn't feel like too much of a responsibility

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I don't think any of skills will be useful for my degree but it will definitely be useful for a future career

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was a bit quieter than I expected but generally there were enough things happening through out the day to keep thing interesting. There were a lot of cakes too...

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Could not fault the organisation at all, everything was well prepared with the exception of some IT issues

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was a development forum which as interns we got to attend. There could have been a bit more one on one training though

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

    4/5

    The Culture

  • Definitely, we did a lot of activities together

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I didn't live in the area I worked, but it's a city centre so it's not cheap but drinks are reasonable.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I didn't sample the nightlife but again city centre, it's bound to be good.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Plenty of oppurtunites such as the 5 a side tournament and night out in Manchester, football after work, going out for lunches, social evening at a bar, etc.
