    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the experience - it was far more than I expected. The perfect mix of challenging responsibility alongside the development of skills.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was given the right amount of work to do and quickly placed on projects which allowed me to feel like an integral part of our team.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Steve and other seniors in my team offered fantastic support - always happy to help and explain a problem or query.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had work to do every day - occasionally projects could have been staggered slightly better, but an organized system for prioritising work easily saw to this.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given enough responsibility to feel like a key part of my team, but never too much as to feel completely out of my depth.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel I developed as many skills as I could have hoped for, both on a theoretical level within the industry and on a practical level regarding client communication.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful, and made me feel extremely welcome.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Work was in place for me to take on and all official days (induction, presentation etc) were clearly communicated to us.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given ample support and attention from all levels of the organization.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing - I have not yet found out if I will receive a job offer, so cannot accurately rate this section.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I was in one of our smaller offices in terms of the number of interns (four of us) but we quickly bonded and take lunch together most days, including a trip out of the office on Fridays.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Surrey is an expensive area, but I don't feel this reflects on the palcement. The canteen on site was reasonably placed.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Farnborough is not widely known for its nightlife. I live closer to London, so this is not a problem for me.

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Opportunities were regularly offered, and events such as a 'Go Ape' team-building day were organized.

    5/5
