The Role
A true exciting placement which really did deliver on expectations - as can be imagine by a global brand worldwide in all countries big and small!
The Mcdonalds family is a real family - you hear it said that hte family is close but at HQ it is amazing!!!
I was given a project to scope out the new menu changes which were being implemented for various events (Rodeo burger etc.) and see how it sells daily to help decide if it should continue (this was during the phase of having a different american burger)
very busy .. non stop and meeting with different groupos within the organisation daily
A lot of responsibility was given but at no time was i unsupported... I always had a helping hand and my mentor helped alot
Not only developed work skills but definately interpersonal skills my skillset has developed since working for MCD

The Culture
Over 10 other students from differnet universities made it more exciting and enjoyable. Made a few more friends for life, and my work colleagues were great as well - We had a good time and would love to end up working there
Very expensive as can be imagined working in city ... but the pay was good and so it balanced out however can't live like a student
very good choice for all genres of music and drinks and clubs, restaurants had all different flavours
Mcdonalds also host lots of out of work events and promote sport alot for healthy eating etc. (bizarre!) So could take part in those events
