  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement was a fantastic experience which has allowed to grow as an engineer and as a person.

  • I was given a very high level of responsibilty and my work was held in the same regard as that of qualified engineers.

  • Bi-weekly reviews were performed in order to monitor my performance and set objectives to be met.

  • The was a large work load but with good time management it wasnt an issue.

  • I was given the oportunity to lead a project from start to finish, this included design work, technical drawing, procurement and introduction.

  • A profesional and friendly atmostphere

  • very well organised, as previosuly mentioned my work load was constantly monitored through reviews.

  • I was involved in a large amount of training and development, I was also able to go on numerous visits as an ambassador for Cummins.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • The offer of a job is dependant on the financial climate at the time of graduation, however it has been expressed that if all goes well I would be offered a position upon graduation.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes most of the students played some form of sport as part of a work social club so we got to no each other this way.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Pretty average, all social clubs with work were very cheap.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Daventry is a small town so just pubs and a small club, however it is within a reasonably close distance to Coventry, Northampton and Lemington.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Many clubs were available and the opportunity to join was presented during our first week of employment.
