    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role involves working within Computer Aided Design 3D software - Creo and making various different designs of certain parts/assemblies. Therefore analyzing them and validating through hand calculations, Ansys Workbench or Ansys Discovery via Modal and Structural analysis.

  • Yes. I have learned how to use many new software packages as well as how to communicate effectively, be punctual and responsible engineer. Some of which are: Ansys products, Creo Parametric, GeoMagic, VXElements, Windchill, etc.

  • I had a line manager available for questions/concerns as well as members within the team always ready to help or give advice. Likewise, more senior people within the technical center are willing to help when needed.

  • I greatly enjoyed it since it was very technical, providing me with the necessary knowledge as well as full of other opportunities such as mentoring schemes, STEM volunteering, inclusion and diversity event planning, etc.
