  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role involved learning about pensions and the business of Aon. I was tasked with completing calculations and work to aid the running of pension schemes

  • I have learnt so much new information about pensions and pension calculations, my subject knowledge is much broader than when I started. I've also learnt soft skills such as professional etiquette and communication within a team.

  • I had the ability to take on tasks but not being assigned to a specific team meant I wasn't given a lot of responsibility overall

  • I was given a lot of guidance during my internship. People were always willing to help and when I got tasks from people, I always had sufficient information to carry me through the tasks set.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is great at Aon. It's not as cutthroat as corporate work is depicted by other people whilst high standards are still paramount around the business. I was in a demanding yet enjoyable environment that allowed me to thrive and develop.
