    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Role as summer intern involves attending and shadowing team and client meetings. Learning the process of insurance broking and the placement of deals. Involves networking with the team and with other insurers. Typical daily tasks includes reviewing market submissions, helping to track enquiries, learn about specific placing software such as Brokasure and PPL.

  • Have developed existing skills of team work, communication, time management and organization. I have learnt new skills such as networking and developed building relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • I was given a moderate amount of responsibility. Specifically, responsibility of presenting projects to the wider Aon network and emailing key clients.

  • I received a lot of support of guidance during the internship. The team were really supportive and encouraging throughout the summer.

  • It was a good atmosphere and culture. I think the company culture could be improved further by greater diversity amongst colleagues and leadership positions.
