    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role as a junior member of the client team is mostly monitoring and reporting of the schemes as well as particular jobs as and when they come. Excel is a must. Client work is limited until you become more senior but you get work on preparing for the meetings.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • It has given me a much deeper understanding of investment terms and asset classes, as well as the pension schemes and investment strategy for them. It gives a lot of transferable skills I imagine. You build familiarity with Excel and powerpoint and how to use them in a corporate environment.
