    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I am responsible for a number of projects covering all stages of the data analysis process. I have formatted excel spreadsheets, created huge databases and explored visualisations. A day will often entail catching up with project leaders, learning why I've done what I've done and where this is leading. On top of that we have regular trainings to understand the industry as a whole.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Yes. My excel abilities have improved beyond measure. I have been able to apply offset, match, vlookup functions and more. My main project has revolved around Tableau which was a whole new software for me. I now have a stronger knowledge than many of my team and will be teaching them at the end of the internship. Finally, I have been able to program in R in a commercial setting, allowing me to improve extraordinarily.
