Overview
Manage client accounts and relations on client executive team. In broking teams, role involves going to the markets (underwriters) in order to piece together optimal insurance package for client.
Skills
Developed proficiency in excel through consistent and more complex use, as well as communication skills through frequent communication with clients and underwriters, and attending social events to manage relations.
Responsibilities
As the internship progressed, I was gradually given responsibility of communicating with underwriters and clients, and managing and analysing data files.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support. Team were very friendly and always willing to answer any question I had and give me work when needed. The work I did have they guided me through so I gained an understanding of not just how to do the task, but the context of why the task is needed.
Culture
Extremely friendly and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities for work and for socialising too.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship to a great extent. I obtained a detailed insight into the world of insurance through being in a very friendly team and company, where I had many opportunities to really make the most of my internship.

To not hesitate to ask any questions or attend any event, as almost everyone I have met has been extremely welcoming of any queries and willing to offer work and support.
