  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manage client accounts and relations on client executive team. In broking teams, role involves going to the markets (underwriters) in order to piece together optimal insurance package for client.

  • Developed proficiency in excel through consistent and more complex use, as well as communication skills through frequent communication with clients and underwriters, and attending social events to manage relations.

  • As the internship progressed, I was gradually given responsibility of communicating with underwriters and clients, and managing and analysing data files.

  • Lots of support. Team were very friendly and always willing to answer any question I had and give me work when needed. The work I did have they guided me through so I gained an understanding of not just how to do the task, but the context of why the task is needed.

  • I enjoyed my internship to a great extent. I obtained a detailed insight into the world of insurance through being in a very friendly team and company, where I had many opportunities to really make the most of my internship.
