Overview
Exploring opportunities for expanding coverage amongst small merchants, with a particular focus on partnerships with payment intermediaries which fall under emerging payment models (Buy Now Pay Later, Digital Wallet Operators, ISVs, White Label Solutions, SaaS). This entails mapping fintechs in the space, and assessing current practices and policies which would apply to them. Culminating in an overview of strategy in approaching and implementing these into future partner prospecting across EMEA.
Skills
Developed existing skills in research and communication, in addition to teamwork. New skills included in data analysis, partner outreach, etc.
Responsibilities
Initially, very little. With time, I engendered the trust of the team and was assigned my own partner to guide through the onboarding process, in addition to taking progressively more central roles in team meetings and discussions.
Support & Guidance
Support and guidance was given at every stage of the internship through both formal (managerial) and informal (buddy system, peer interns, etc) channels.

Amex's culture is likely unparalleled within financial services in terms of work-life balance, inclusiveness, the openness of teammates and employees, and in particular upper managements' accessibility.
