Overview
- Analysis of commercial charge portfolio - Preparation of presentations - Regular meetings with wider team and senior leaders - Informal catch ups ("coffee chats") with other interns, manager and team
Skills
Yes - Learnt some basic coding skills, data analysis and improved presentation skills
Responsibilities
A lot - I was treated like a full time employee and given the autonomy to choose the direction of my own projects
Support & Guidance
A lot - Daily catch ups with members of the team, also a high contact time with senior leaders (VP level)
Culture
Brilliant - Everyone made loads of time for the interns and really cared about our projects. Amex also did a brilliant job of hosting an online experience and promoted the importance of frequent informal / friendly chats
Your Impressions
Genuinely enjoyed the whole experience - My line manager was fantastic and I always felt included by the team. Amex places a high value on the external opinion of new recruits
