Overview
Actively contributing to the codebase of the company. Delivering products just as any other graduate and senior teams. Working in an Agile team of 5, being involved in SCRUM meetings, creating stories, planning sprints, demoing products and contributing to perspective. Working with latest technologies, such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, Spring Boot, Reactive programming.
Skills
I have learnt and improved my knowledge of Java, while also consolidating my coding and development practices. I have also gained expertise in dev-ops and got insights into how scalability is handled at Amex.
Responsibilities
Our project will help the company get proper metrics for the services they provide. Our project has not felt as an internship project and has added value to the company.
Support & Guidance
All the seniors are able to help whenever we need it. We also had access to a lot of meetings to discuss any technical and social issues we had.
Culture
Family. Amex puts a lot of emphasis on the customer and employees. This results in a very pleasant environment, where one feels valued, feels important and not stressed.
Your Impressions
The internship was a tremendous experience, from which I've not only learnt how to be a better Software Engineer, but also consolidated my leadership skills and improved my network of people.
