The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at American Express. The culture is very open and collaborative and there are strong values placed on a teamwork ethic, sharing knowledge and on personal development. I really would advice someone to apply for Amex as it is an invaluable opportunity at the start of my career.
I felt very valued by my colleagues as they were willing to take time out of their schedules to help me and were also appreciative of the hard work I put in. I genuinely loved working with my team as I could learn a lot and also had multiple opportunities to share my findings with them.

I genuinely loved working with my team as I could learn a lot and also had multiple opportunities to share my findings with them. Substantial guidance was provided to me by my manager
I was quite preoccupied with my project work on a daily basis and as such I was able to develop many skills.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility - I worked on a project which would have significant implications for the company and its business too.
The skills I developed were extremely practical, as I developed my analytical, communication and organisational skills too.
The Company
The general atmosphere was very open and collaborative and everyone was friendly.
There was a very good structure in the overall work placement across the 10 week program. There were a wide range of activities and learning opportunities.
I felt the company invested in me as they gave me a lot of opportunities for personal training and development too.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
The future employment prospects are very attractive as there are many opportunities for rotation amongst teams and across countries
The Culture
The social scene was very enjoyable amongst all colleagues and fellow interns
London is a fairly pricey city however there are still a lot of opportunities to socialise.
The nightlife was incredible
