The Role
The experience has been a rollercoaster of a ride, the organisation values really rub off onto you and you feel like you are apart of an organisation which is one of the market leaders in its field.
I get treated like any other employee here at NetApp. The atmosphere to interns is fantastic as long as you show work ethic.
My role is a little unique here as my manager gives me the opportunity to complete a task in my own way with no hassle (this happens with trust) but if I ever need help it is there with a phonecall/email or in person which is great seeming my manager is the District Manager.
When first starting here I got work put onto me slowly which is great for getting to understand my role. A section of my time here at NetApp my workload was extremley high due to becoming a super user for a massive program but I think this was a unique situation.
If you show you can be given responsibility then NetApp will give it to you. I have had so many opportunities because I searched for them but there is also an intern project every year where as interns you get given repsonsility for a big project.
So far my placement has given me so many skills in working in such a big organisation from networking with many departments, becoming the super user for Sales Force and finding new effiencey tools that will help my team then deploying them.
The Company
Although sometimes quiet as I was in the sales department the respect I get is unreal for an intern. My sales team are friendly and approachable which really helps being in an organisation of this size.
My manager set out a strategy plan for my year here which we reviewed often to make sure we was on track to complete the overall task.
We have been given day cources from external companies to improve time management, netwowkring and presnetation skills. My manager is also setting up a sales course to give me skills in engaging customers.

Getting recognition with most departments I think has benefited me so I would like to think I would have a good chance when I graduate.
The Culture
While working here I think this is the only thing I dislike but as more interns will be joining NetApp in the future I think this will improve.
As I commuted to my office I cannot comment on this.
Again no comment as I did not live locally to the offices.
There are a few sports related groups who go play football/golf/cycling.
