The Role
The amount of responsibility that I get at NetApp is amazing and I am continually given new challenges and learning so much from them.
I really feel like part of the team and they include me in almost everything they do.
My manager is very approachable, so whenever I have a question, I know that she will always be willing to help/support me as best she can.
There have been times where I have been very busy, but I like that I have had so many different things to do on a regular basis.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility, I am responsible for all administration and have been given a few big projects to work on throughout my placement.
The skills that I have learnt from this placement will be invaluable for me when I am back at university, I would highly recommend doing a placement.
The Company
Very relaxed atmosphere.
It is really nice to have other Interns around the office to chat to, and I know that some other companies do not take on as many as NetApp do. In that way, I think the set up of the placements are really good.
If I want to, I can attend any training session that I think will help me and I have also had some specific training for my role that has been very valuable.
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
At NetApp there is no graduate scheme as of yet, and the HR department is fairly small, so I could not be sure whether there is a chance of future employment.
The Culture
There are 8 Interns and we all get on really well.
I live in the Kingston area, so I do tend to socialise more there.
