    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • To a large extent I enjoyed the programme, it has provided me with the insight and information to work at EY. The sharings and panel talks allowed us to know about the experiences of current workers and the job prospects. Knowing what they have been through, I gained a further understanding of the work environment and opportunities within EY.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The whole program was well-organized and scheduled. It was tight but informative. We had plentiful opportunities to talk with our table host, network with workers and ask questions. Especially for the panel discussion, it was conducted anonymously with a computer system, so that people that are shy can express their views regardless.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The staff at the reception and the pre programme emails were helpful, directing us what to do. Going to the networking events, the people there were also helpful, open to questions and informative. Our table host did a great job leading us through task, being friendly, opened to discussion and guided us.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • To a large extent the programme equipped me with the skills for my studies and future career. Not only did we get vision and information about the experience of the workers, but also we got to conduct exercises, presentation and receive qualitative feedback from our table host that I find really useful.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It was structured quite well. It was tight and packed, so the whole day was really tense but very informative. I do appreciate the fact that this schedule allowed us to get the most out of the program and there were breaks in between, allowing us to refresh ourselves for the next station.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The whole program was well-organized and scheduled. People were friendly, open-minded, welcoming and appreciative. We had plentiful opportunities to talk with our table host, network with workers and ask questions. Especially for the panel discussion, it was conducted anonymously with a computer system, so that people that are shy can express their views regardless.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The whole program was well-organized and scheduled. It was tight but informative. We had plentiful opportunities to talk with our table host, network with workers and ask questions. Also, EY has arranged for our transportation cost, some with accomodation. The investment incurred in this event showed how much they cared.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • 5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • We had plentiful opportunities to talk with our table host, network with workers and ask questions. Especially for the panel discussion and speed networking, meeting up with people working within EY, seeing them, listening to their story, is much more helpful and convincing compared to reading about these information online.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • We had plentiful opportunities to talk with our table host, network with workers and ask questions. Especially for the panel discussion, Catherine shared her experience of getting into EY at the same time balancing her family life. Her conflicts and the understanding from EY was not what I expected and encouraging to know.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

For the networking it was really tight, only getting to speak to each person for 5 minutes, but it also allowed us to meet loads of people.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • We had plentiful opportunities to talk with our table host, network with workers and ask questions. Especially for the speed networking we met people from different departments, different backgrounds.
