    • The best internship possible. Fluor is right type of company for me.

    • 100%. I was always treated with respect and my opinion was always given attention and consideration.

    • Overall I would say that the work load balance was perfect.

    • I was given substantial levels of responsibility throughout my internship with FLUOR.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • This is was an excellent opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired at Loughborough university on construction engineering management course. At the same time the knowledge acquired during my placement was very helpful during my final year. I better understood the challenges faced by construction managers on large international projects. The placement also inspired me to pick the topic for my final year dissertation (modular construction in oil and gas industry).

    • I have graduated and returned to Fluor. I am currently working on a megaproject in Tengiz oilfield in Kazakhstan.

    • Farnborough is a very quiet town, but the cost of living is pretty high.
