    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere was excellent. Everyone is very friendly and willing to talk, whether that's through a formally arranged meeting or just standing in the kitchen. The atmosphere in my team and group of interns overall was also great.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was for the most part very well organised. We had weekly speaker series events organised for us as well as several social activities. At the beginning I could have done with a bit more guidance when I first came into the office after the induction days.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invested a huge amount of time and energy. I had twice weekly meetings with my Vice President and sat next to my manager who answered any questions I had. Other members of the team were also more than willing to help as were any other employees who I reached out to.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would seriously consider taking a job with Amex if I was lucky enough to be offered it. There are opportunities to work throughout finance and an excellent job trajectory. The work like balance is very good and the people are great to work with. There are also opportunities to do e.g. accounting qualifications.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes there was a good social scene. A group of interns have lunch together basically every day and we also socialise after work almost every week.
