The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement at Morgan, it was a truly invaluable experience. It has taught me a lot about the different aspects of Marketing and has also given me the opportunity to further my knowledge in the B2B sector.
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues, it was a pleasure working with them all. They were honestly the best team I've ever worked with.
The support I was given by my manager was amazing. Every month I had meetings to go over my projects and personal objectives, it also gave me the opportunity to discuss any other project areas I would like to help out with.
On a daily basis I was very busy, marketing for a global company definitely took time.
During my placement year I was given a lot of responsibility, I enjoyed this as it made me feel valued/trusted by my colleagues to produce a high standard of work.
During my placement year I developed a range of skills which I am truly grateful for. I have managed to enhanced both my written skills and communications skills which have been very beneficial to me since I have returned to University. Furthermore I have developed my knowledge on both global marketing and B2B marketing communications which are both fundamental modules within my degree giving me a forefront on my studies,
The Company
The atmosphere in my office was very fun and bubbly. Everyone got along and it was a truly amazing office to work in. Assistance was always at hand, which made it comfortable to ask stupid questions!
The organisation of the overall work placement was good but I did not have much contact with the placement supervisor this was because I reported back my manager. However I did prefer this as the guidance given by my manager was incredible.
I received internal training on project management, InDesign, Photoshop, Dotmailer, and Excel which I have found very useful. It has helped me in more ways than I thought possible,

Future employment at Morgan is very appealing as they offer a two year graduate scheme.
The Culture
There is a good social scene among other graduates and placement which made it even easier for me to settle in.
The cost of living was great, everything was priced at an affordable price so I never had the fear of breaking the bank. Socialising scene was good, there are tons of pubs and pretty restaurants to go and visit.
The nightlife was good especially with Worcester and Birmingham around the corner.
There are quite a few sports clubs and teams to join.
