I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year working for Church and Dwight UK Ltd; so much so that after my time working for them was coming to a close, I had my contract extended so that I could stay a little longer! The people and the work come together to provide both a comfortable and challenging environment which has allowed me to gain great experience working in the Quality control and FMCG industry while also making some life-long friends.
I have wholeheartedly enjoyed my work placement at Church and Dwight as it is such an inclusive and supportive environment to work in and has allowed me a raw insight into the world of Finance. The company has an amazing community atmosphere and the different departments/teams/individuals are easy to talk to and always happy to help. I have met so many lovely people on my year placement who have helped me grow both professionally and personally to whom I am thankful.
I enjoyed my internship very much. It was engaging and informative. I was given the freedom to explore my role and make an impact in the company. I enjoyed the workshops and training sessions as they were very interactive and provided the opportunity to build on key skills and attributes.
Initially I was apprehensive about commencing my placement year as I had to relocate and had no formal experience in HR. However, I had an amazing year where I received exceptional personal and professional support from my immediate team and the wider business. It is a place where there are so many development opportunities!
When I began my work placement everyone was really welcoming. I was the first intern in my department, but you wouldn't have known as the workload was manageable and challenging at times. I had the opportunity to be involved with numerous projects, which I had the opportunity to see the impact my work had on the business. If I could go back and choose a different placement/internship I wouldn't, I made so many friendships and learnt new transferable skills. I will definitely be considering coming back once I graduate if there are vacancies.
I have been working at C&D UK for over a year now and by the time I finish, I will have worked there for 14 months. That's how much I have enjoyed my placement. The experience presented lots of challenges, and in return has taught me many valuable skills, which will surely pay off in the future.
Working in the Continuous Improvement department was every enjoyable. I enjoy learning new things and doing new things every day. Every week I was working on a new projects. Every week I would be working with a different department. It was very insightful because I get to learn how all areas of a business operates, as well as learning what I might enjoy as a career.
