I enjoyed the insight very much. It was very interactive, the environment was hospitable and it was nice to meet other like-minded students with the same ambitions and goals as me. The firm’s representatives were really helpful in terms of indulging us into the deep sectors of the firm and answering any of our questions.
This was my first internship, and I had a really great overall experience (this including work, events, networking with other interns, communicating with my team, finding out about Bloomberg culture, participating in BOB). The work I had to do was challenging, required technical skill and innovative thinking and I think I had a lot to learn from this, but I also delivered a working product, valuable for the team after I leave.
It was an amazing experience, which really helped me learn a lot. The internship was full of events, some of which contained parties, some would be networking events. We had hackathons and coding contests. There was tons of events and talks which were technology related as well, which helped me improve my skills.
I really enjoyed my internship due to many reasons: I had an amazing and supportive team, my project was very interesting and challenging and the general internship environment at Bloomberg is nothing short of exceptional. I believe that, out of all the IT companies out there, Bloomberg is one of the few that actually considers the opinion of interns valuable and that their experience, not only work related, is valuable.
My experience was very enjoyable. There were lots of events, especially for the engineering interns, which were not only fun but also a great way to get to know other interns. The work itself was challenging and complex, and therefore more enjoyable than and preferable to the work software dev interns are given at several other companies.
The internship at Bloomberg is probably the best you can get. There are a lot of events during which you can network with other interns and meet people from the industry. The projects there are challenging and help you discover the fields that interest you.
Had a really nice time at Bloomberg internship. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the intern events most! They take really good care of their interns. The engineering department has a lot of tech debt though which does not always enable people to use newer & better tools/technologies for their jobs.
