I really enjoyed the event, it was held over 3 days and there were only 8 of us participating, meaning that it was very engaging and collaborative. It was a mix of tutorial sessions, panel talks where we got to ask questions, and activities where we got the chance to demonstrate the skills that we had learnt.
The days were split into different activities. We had the opportunity to participate to diverse activities such as workshops, innovation activity, a simulation, presentation of the company. We met diverse people of the company and of the department that present us their jobs and the culture of the company and the company in general.
A series of zoom meetings with different representatives from the company cam in to talk to us about the company and the BCS department. We also had panels and q&a sessions, as well as mini trainings and a sims activity. There was a lot of collaboration between interns and we worked together on a presentation.
3 days of insightful talks, with an overview of the organisation, culture and departments. The sessions were exciting, and it felt very personal as it was a small group of 8 members. There were 1 group project and an individual task on the final day.
It was a 3 days program from 9 to 5 with multiple sessions: - Explication of the department and skills needed - Chat with employees from the department, ask questions tot hem - Virtual Escape Room - Debate - Simulation of the role
Really enjoyed it. Great company with an incredible culture. All employees are very welcoming and everyone is open to helping you and networking. Interesting to learn about the terminal and the work carried out by the company. Plenty of occasions to socialise as well within the intern cohort and with employees. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is interested in Bloomberg and considering a full time job in it. Really great and rewarding experience.
I had a great time with this internship because all the full timers went above and beyond to ensure that we always felt like we were being taken care of and a part of the company. A lot of the work could be done virtually, we got to shadow a lot of meetings that would have been held in Paris - for me this was a great bonus. Working from home is not easy but I felt very supported.
