I really enjoyed being a part of Bloomberg insight week as we had the possibility to get a broad exposure both on company's activities and its employees, even if virtual. I believe the activities and demos we did were really helpful and engaging as it gets you an idea of how a real day at Bloomberg looks like.
The insight scheme was jam-packed full of interesting and insightful activities, ranging from seminars on each department and interactive games which kept up a certain level of healthy competition. Although the insight was virtual, I felt I still received a full experience on what it would be like to work at Bloomberg. All seminars were interactive, where candidates could ask any questions they liked, which help inform other students as well. I would recommend this insight to anyone given the chance.
It was very insightful and engaging. i liked the fact that it was interactive with quizes etc. as just listening to presentations without interacting can be draining after a while. Also everyone was very talkative and Friendly and there was a lot of effort put in to make the environment as fun as possible. The organiser was such a lovely person as well as she listened to everyones problems and suggestions and always tried to be as engaging as possible.
Very enjoyable, had a good time understanding concepts and going into details for roles and opportunities at the firm. Whilst online they managed to make it very interactive as there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions and interact with the speakers. Also we had the opportunity to complete exercises and also work in a team which allowed us to experience the true culture of Bloomberg even though the experience was virtual. FInally, those running the program were very helpful.
I has a blast participating in this virtual experience. The team at Bloomberg did an outstanding job of making the interns valued and involved. The virtual experience was really well organised and the staff was really helpful at answering any kind of concern we may have. Doing it virtually was definitely a challenge, but Bloomberg went clearly beyond my expectations. Bloomberg made this virtual experience a lively and i feel really connected with my peers and employees at Bloomberg.
The Bloomberg insight week has been incredibly interesting. Despite it was only one week long, it has been filled with content and information, so that we had a 360 degree exposure to the company and its industry. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] the coordinator and the Team Leaders were extremely engaging and approachable. They answered to any questions we had and they were always at our disposal to solve any problem with the terminal. The panelists organized extremely interesting sessions, while the activities were super fun.
Overall, it was a great experience to get to meet the firm and network with a range of employees from different seniority levels. I really enjoyed having the chance to speak to so many people from the firm as well as the other interns, who were always very supportive and encouraging. Learning about all of the initiatives outside of work you can get involved with was highly interesting to me and showed me what life would be like there.
We were provided with an extensive insightful programme over a week. We received exposure to lots of player types in the company and heard about their personal and career journey. Not only did I get a great exposure to the Bloomberg Sales+Analytics and Global Data departments, but also to the culture and values of the company. We also received exposure to other divisions and management, which further showed the company environment. I am really happy overall with the programme provided to us.
Really insightful, truly an opportunity to grow. Fun sessions and insightful presentations, as well as opportunities for interactive sessions, networking. It gives you a comprehensive view of the world of Bloomberg, its values, key functions, as well as how it interacts and allows for innovation in the financial markets. A lot of networking opportunities. I feel like I learned more in the insight than I would have ever possibly learned in a 14-week university course.
