The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed working with the people here, yes there are times where I felt like I needed a break, as we had so much work to do, however, it is all placed in the right direction as everyday passed made me feel like I am getting more valued here.
Very much valued, we always ask each other about each other's opinion and they always run asking for my thoughts, and my opinions always count, I really felt valued during my internship especially after the first month.
It depends on how much guidance is needed, depends on the situation, however I have never been ignored and always been supervised and guided by the account managers.
Very busy.
After the first month, I have started to get more responsibilities based on what my team think I am good at, and my manager always made me feel like I am working with her not for her, so we share responsibilities rather than take responsibilities, the key word is to take "initiatives"
It helped to re-sharpen my communications skills, and time management, as well as helped to deal with working under pressure especially with deadlines.
The Company
Very friendly, my colleagues were always friendly and helpful.
Sometimes it was dis-organised, however it is a two way job, I didn't wait for the management to tell me on what to do, I looked for what I can do and organised my own initiated projects.
I would say at the beginning I didn't feel that there is much, however after 6 weeks of my placement I started to notice being having more time being spent on me in terms of training, I was right, I just told myself if I want to be someone and get noticed then I have to do my best without having any expectations, and my formula worked, the company will help and invest in me as much as I invest my time well with them.
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Travel loan
I was preparing myself to leave after the internship, and surprisingly I got offered a job to work with them, they accommodated my feedback regarding what I believe should work for me.
The Culture
It was and still like a youth club, very young atmosphere and we organize going out regularly.
Actually it is very expensive but with the travel card I had it was easy to go anywhere within zone 1 and 2.
It is residential, but Fulham Road is close and we used to go to a nice pub regularly and have a nice relaxed evening after work.
Not much but we usually organise some parties out or meeting during weekends which is a nice change.
