    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • As I am still an Intern at Free Holdings I can say that I am enjoying my time here and learning new and interesting things while applying my knowledge obtained during my course at university.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I can definitely say that the work environment is a really great one. The managers are friendly but firm and also patient. I can say for sure that all my work is being appreciated by everyone in the office, not only my manager and also I had the opportunity of being the intern of the week so when you are doing your best, you will be rewarded.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • At the beginning there I was asked to do some research on the company and the brand affiliated but after that, guidance and support were given in order to complete the tasks required by the management with the opportunity of asking for help whenever needed. The training provided has been useful and still is.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There are a lot of things to do once you completely understand the tasks given and you actually enjoy it. There was not a day when the time to leave the office came and I was already at the door because the time flies quickly and I like what I am doing.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • From the beginning I started doing Social Media so posting on the social sites in the name of the company it was quite the responsability. My manager trusted me and my work so I think that all worked well. Being almost at the end of my internship, and having contact with clients, the responsability given is giving me confidence in what I am doing and the company as well.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As I previously said in my first comment, I find that some of the knowledge obtained during my course at university are useful, such as content creation, writing press releases and articles, personal relations skills and others. I am certain that everything that I have learned and all the skills developed during my time at Free Holdings will be more than useful in the future.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere in the office is a friendly and a multicultural one. I have met interesting people, with different backgrounds and cultures and for me this has been and still is a great experience. During the lunch break everyone is socializing, interns and managers, creating a great place to work.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I was told from the beginning ( during the interview ) what the internship will involve and how everything will go so I don`t have any complaints in regards to its organisation.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Being an internship, of course I can`t speak about a financial investment but in what concerns the time, resources and knowledge offered by the staff definitely helped me improve myself on both professional and personal sides

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Travel loan

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It is still early to talk about this in what concerns me but most of the managers that I am currently working have been employed after completing their internship.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Everyone in both offices are friendly and we developed nice friendships, sometimes going for drinks after a long week at work. I am sure that I will keep in touch with most of the people I have meet at Free Holdings.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Keeping in mind that the lunch is provided to us daily, I rarely need to go out. I don`t live in the area so I am not sure about the cost of living in the area.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • As I live far from the Fulham area, the only time enjoying it is when we go out for drinks.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • All the work is carried in the office, as my current position is to liaise with partners and make contacts. But in the case or participating for an online workshop, the meetings room is used. If in the future there will be workshops or fairs that can`t be carried on the office`s premises I will be more than happy to attend.
