    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The nature of my job meant that there were some really busy times and other really quiet times. But overall I'd say there was a good balance of work, and was never too much to cope with.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given lots of responsibility. The work I carried out was used as the basis for the development of the vehicles, and the feedback I provided to the calibration teams was critical, as my work could have had a direct effect on the end product.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills and knowledge gained from my placement will be a massive help in all aspects of my future career. The opportunities to work as part of a team with experienced senior engineers, as well as being given the time to work on individual projects gave me a good idea of how life will be working in the automotive industry.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Yes, everyone was very friendly and welcoming from the start.

  • Aside from being informed of my placement relatively late, the induction and start of work was well laid out and made it easy to integrate into the workplace.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Ford invested far more than I had expected, and provided more than enough training, and was given the same development opportunities as a full time Ford employee, covering the costs of any training and trips.
