    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was really insightful - lots of information, challenging with group activities and a presentation to prepare. I really enjoyed it!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The staff were really friendly and listened to what I had to say.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • There were EY mentors on each table but our mentor kept walking off and didn't say much. The others seemed enthusiastic and engaged though.

    3/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt so much in just one day! Being a modern languages student, business, IT, and finance are all relatively new fields of work for me. I learnt a lot but there's so much more to learn!

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured, thought the presentations felt a little rushed towards the end

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Fun, friendly, not too intimidating (which I had worried about - so was pleasantly surprised!)

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was more an information day than anything, though feedback on our presentation performance was useful

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I think it helped to a great extent - I saw first hand what current employees think of their jobs and how enthusiastic they are. They were honest about the work-life balance and said that the hard work and sometimes long hours, although challenging are rewarding.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • 5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • 4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I still have not been reimbursed but I expect to receive £100 travel reimbursements soon.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes during the lunch break

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There were only a couple of small tables and it was difficult to eat food and move between tables to network, since once you found a space to put your plate it wasn't easy to move about. Apart from that it was great that the company organised the networking.

    2/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Employees talked generally about this and spoke about a "work hard, play hard" attitude.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • 5/5
