About You
It was really insightful - lots of information, challenging with group activities and a presentation to prepare. I really enjoyed it!
The staff were really friendly and listened to what I had to say.
There were EY mentors on each table but our mentor kept walking off and didn't say much. The others seemed enthusiastic and engaged though.
I learnt so much in just one day! Being a modern languages student, business, IT, and finance are all relatively new fields of work for me. I learnt a lot but there's so much more to learn!
The Company
Very well structured, thought the presentations felt a little rushed towards the end
Fun, friendly, not too intimidating (which I had worried about - so was pleasantly surprised!)
It was more an information day than anything, though feedback on our presentation performance was useful
I think it helped to a great extent - I saw first hand what current employees think of their jobs and how enthusiastic they are. They were honest about the work-life balance and said that the hard work and sometimes long hours, although challenging are rewarding.
Everything Else
I still have not been reimbursed but I expect to receive £100 travel reimbursements soon.
Yes during the lunch break
There were only a couple of small tables and it was difficult to eat food and move between tables to network, since once you found a space to put your plate it wasn't easy to move about. Apart from that it was great that the company organised the networking.
Employees talked generally about this and spoke about a "work hard, play hard" attitude.
