The Role
Interesting work, flexible hours, great people. Would have been nice to do some more practical work but was limited by the time i was there.
Everyone I worked with was exceptionally nice, welcoming and supportive
My line manager and technical supervisor were excellent. Both kept very regular contact and made sure any issue i had was dealt with quickly and efficiently
Apart from the first 4/5 days the amount of work was pretty perfect. Although it was a bit slow to get going, after that i found i was never under pressure but was always busy enough that the day did not drag
I was responsible for work on a real, important and relevant project.
Although the particular subject area was not directly linked to my chosen options, I improved many scientific skills that will make me more successful in undertaking my degree.
The Company
There was a very good working atmosphere in the office.
The summer placement scheme i was on, i felt was exceptionally well coordinated with all the appropriate provisions for an enjoyable and useful placement.
There was a small amount of training, the main development being in my own personal skills.

Although i did have a fantastic placement, I am keen to seek other opportunities before deciding on a career path.
The Culture
After a little while in the office it became very easy to meet the the large number of other summer placement students.
Salisbury is quite expensive, but, having spoken to some friends, much cheaper than working in london.
The salisbury nightlife is not its main selling point.
There are plenty of clubs and societies run through work however only being there for 9 weeks means that it is difficult to get fully involved.
