    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Disney is an amazing company to work for, to be a part of launching Disney content is a real honour, working in the entertainmnet industry within such a market leading brand has been an amizing and fun opportunity

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • You are not treated as an 'intern'. There are many things you do that your managers do not know how to. Of course there is the admin side but that is a given, you feel like a real part of the team that actually makes a difference to a campaign and that always spurs you on to move forward and give in your best.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • All of the team (manager and director level) are really approachable, it is easy to pop in to anyones office and ask a question and you never feel like a question is too small. The only issue ever is that they are so busy it is sometimes hard to grab them, but once you do they are very supportive.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were times, often a few weeks from the launch of the product when I was crazy busy! I was staying late in the office and I loved the feeling of always having lots, if not too much to do! At times I oculd have very quiet days but that was more the result of there being an empty slate rather than a direct lack of work. I always have bits, even if they are small, to do everyday, when I think I have nothing requests alwyas come through on the day!

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You are really valued and are given lots of responsibilites. I have managed lots of my own projects and now I have been given the chance to launch and lead a campaign of an upcomong product! Once they trust that you can master the basics, the tasks keep on getting bigger and better!

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • 've learnt lots of 'office' skills - general manner, business skills (asking for a better quotes from agencies etc) and lots of media skills that are definitely going to help me. You are exposed to so many parts of the business, if nothing else it has completely opened my eyes to so many different ways of working

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Really comfortable and relaxed :) lots of cake on the 'sharing shelf'

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There was not any major problem and all was very efficient and clear.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They were many training programmes that we could attend. They also focus hevaily on your understanding of other parts of the business, so they run many 'in the hot seat' presnetations where you can meet senior members of staff. If I ever wanted to learn soemthing new they were pretty helpful in putting me in tocuh with the right perosn, in a company so big there are so many people to learn from

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Sports and Social Club

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • They are only hiring temporary staff for the forseeable future so a permanent role is not guaranteed. Saying that I do think they 'look after their own' so if there is something going I think it helps that you have worked here

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There's loads of interns here! People are always going out and knowing lots of interns is a great way to get information from across the company, without going to a senior member of staff

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Its hammermsmith, so not too bad. I was commuting from home so was pretty lucky!

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Theres loads of stuff going in, and were not to far from central london either

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Theres many sports groups and 'challenges' (Charity walks, treks) there's always stuff going on, you just need to ask for it :)

    4/5
