  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • An insightful and wonderful experience, I gained so much knowledge - especially on professional services firms - and would recommend it to anyone.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • EY has a very family feel as soon as you start working there. I felt as if I belonged during my time there, which helped the overall experience.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Being assigned a buddy and a mentor at EY gave me a tremendous amount of support. I was able to communicate any problems I had as well as addressing them. General staff and the EY coordinators provided great support too.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As I hope to become a Geography undergraduate at University, i'd have to be a versatile student with a diverse range of skills. At EY I was taught a variety of different skills which i feel I will continue to use in the future.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • From day 1 it was clear that EY had taken careful consideration into what they chose as activities. Activities were were well planned and provided long moments of joy as I would have great fun working as part of team with the other successful applicants.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere at the beginning of the programme was generally calm; however, as the days went by and people started to reveal themselves more,it became far more fun and I always had a great time.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I received a great load of knowledge through what EY taught me. I felt like I was valued and that EY wanted me to work there. EY really did invest their time and effort into me which was really reassuring.

  • It provided me with a clear Idea of how a professional services firm is. I was shown the different roles available and the different opportunities that would present themselves whiles working at EY.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • When I think of EY, I think of a company that values its employees as well as their clients. Employees aren't seen as disposable people and are truly valued. There are amazing opportunities at hand for anyone willing to go the extra step, which is something I found amazing.

  • It provided me with key knowledge which would be used to guide myself with a future career.

  • Indeed, I was paid.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • I was presented with the opportunity to have a client dinner and talk to various partners, so overall I had loads of opportunities to network.

  • They were great, I really felt as if I was one of the EY employees, and had a great time meeting people who I knew would be able to help me in the future.

  • As I was at the company for such a short period of time, I wouldn't think this applies to me.

  • Without a shadow of a doubt, EY taught me some great things, gave me the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who were brilliant, and above all experience what it would be like to work at a professional services firm.
