The Role
It could have been paid better, but apart from that it was my dream job - very varied, challenging and never boring.
I felt especially valued as a supplier for tasks otherwise outsourced to freelancers.
My supervisor was always at hand, very helpful and understanding.
Quite busy sometimes, but never out of my comfort zone.
Handled smaller projects without immediate supervision, but otherwise needed to report to supervisor. Still always felt I was given the right amount of responsibility without feeling neither constantly monitored or left alone.
The internship was extremely helpful in acquiring relevant work experience for my future career as well as experience in a foreign country.
The Company
Always busy, but friendly colleagues who would occasionally do something together outside work too.
The training period was well organised. Workload during the rest of the internship was of course highly dependent on the work coming in, but I was hardly ever bored or had too less to do. When the workload in my team was lower, I was given the chance to get and insight and help out in other department.
The trained me not only on the job as an intern, but also as a supplier so that I could continue working as a freelancer for them after the end of my internship.
Company Parties/Events
I did not get a full-time job with them, but I got a fair amount of freelance jobs from them.
The Culture
We interns had a very good relationship and are still in contact today.
The host family I lived with in Streatham was horrible, but chances to go out around London Bridge were great.
Nice clubs and bars to have a nice time.
Some teambuilding activities in which I was kindly included. It was fun!
