  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was able get involved with a lot of business activities throught my year and felt like a valued part of the team.

  • I received appraisals

  • My managers were always there whenever I needed any help and were more than happy to answer any of my questions

  • I was often very busy on a daily basis. I do find that I like to be busy so it didn't tend to bother me too much.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Due to working within a small team it meant I was able to be given more responsibilty than other students at times.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I believe that everything I have learnt will help me in the future in both the working world and whilst completing my degree. For example my confidence has definitely increased whilst working here.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was a great atmosphere amongst my team, however I was unfortunate to witness people leaving the company due to redundancies which tended to leave a more mellow mood at certain times.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • HR organised the placement well and have made good improvemtns for the forth coming yer which will greatly improve the experience for the new students.

  • I was able to attend training courses with has meant certain skills have improved greatlu throughout the year.

  • There isn't really an opportunity to get a job within Panasonic afetr I have finished my degree

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I have been lucky to live with a large group of girls of which I get on well with them all. I also would say that I have got on well with the other studnet working here and have had a few noghts out with them all

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Living was quite expensive in terms of rent. Howeber socialisung is relitively cheap as Reading which is where I have lived this past year is a student area anyway

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There is no night life i the area where I worked. However I lived in Reading as it only takes about 20 minuted to get to and from work. The night life there is a lot better

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I regualarly attended gym classes at the Reading University gym. There are also other opportunities to get ivolved in other activities.
