    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

    • As a treasury analyst, sitting within the EME treasury team I am involved with the cash management of the Europe/Middle East region. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the funding of bank accounts, placing investments, supporting other finance functions and more. The role also involves updating internal controls records and ensuring the adherence to financial regulations.

    • I was given a range of opportunities to take the lead on certain projects. My manager was great at giving me the freedom to take on projects with as much or as little help from them as I felt comfortable having.

    • I received a great amount of guidance during my time at Cummins. This came from both my managers as well as other colleagues.

    • I have had a great time on my placement. Introspectively, seeing my own personal growth that I have undergone during such a short time really encourages me that I can have a great career, whether that is at Cummins or not.
