Overview
Some days are spent in the pilot plant carrying out or supporting ongoing testing. Some days are spent researching and coming up with new solutions to problems within my projects within an office environment. I also travel to the Netherlands to meet with my team and factory managers from global locations.
Skills
Communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, self time management, specialist engineering skills (use of software, equipment etc), commercial awareness, company awareness, teamwork.
Responsibilities
Yes, within a month of starting I was a project lead within my own project and was able to operate equipment required for my role confidently.
Support & Guidance
I had a line manager who I met with bi-weekly (he was also available whenever I needed) to support me and ask what JDE could do to improve/ support me. The office is also a supportive environment, with anyone willing to help support trials/ any questions I had.
