    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My main role on a day-to-day basis was helping with the Learning & Development function. This included scheduling training for employees, filing certificates, communicating with training providers or employees about upcoming training, and other administrative tasks.

  • I have learnt new skills that I used on a daily basis such as how to operate effectively in a work-based team and communicating with internal and external parties. I also took part in training courses that taught me about the operations of the company, sales & marketing and health & safety.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a good amount of responsibility during my placement. There were certain tasks that I would follow the lead of others, but I was also provided with opportunities to do tasks and projects where I had the chance to take it in a direction of my choice and that I was responsible for.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received a lot of support and guidance during my placement. I liked that the support was there if I needed it, but they were happy for me to get on with my tasks if I was comfortable with what I was doing. However, if I ever had an issue there was support available to me.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture and atmosphere of the company was even better than I could've hoped for. It was always a pleasant place to come to work.
