    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • - First point of contact for the TWDC premiums partners. - Support the development and approval of promotional product ranges and pitch decks. - Liaise with teams across the business (category, PD and franchise) to exchange and obtain key information. - Effectively manage and respond to ad hoc queries from the premium partners. - Manage the approval and paperwork required for each confirmed promotion. - Contract management. - Ownership of the advertising approval process. - Provide ad-hoc support on loyalty campaigns.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was treated as if I was a permanent employee and trusted from the first week with important projects. I really wasn't expecting to have as much responsibility as I did. It has developed my skills immensely and it has made the year away from University so worth it.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I have had massive amounts of support the whole year. From regular check-ins to ad-hoc questions, my line manager was always happy to help me and advise on any questions I had. She was also really supportive with working out my next steps post-placement.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Very happy, friendly, relaxed but still professional. Lots of activities to do after work in the office but I have to say that the office screenings of our latest film releases in our cinema definitely enhanced employee-morale!

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I couldn't have wished for a better year in industry. My skills have developed more than I ever thought they would. I have experienced things I never expected to, such as attending my first film premiere and I feel so much more confident about my future career. I am also looking forward to using all the skills I have developed this year in my final year at university.

  • Ensure you are fully prepared for the interview process. You will go into it so much more confidently if you know you are ready to answer anything they ask you. Read up on their charity work and CSR initiatives- show your interest in the company and prove to the interviewer that you have an attachment to Disney in some way.
