    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As a Pro Marketing intern you will work on the professional side of the business (B2B). Day-to-day tasks involve: working with agencies to create artworks, getting involved in creating strategies for campaigns, experience in digital, customer and segment marketing and development of online and offline marketing activation plans and toolkits.

  • Working in a professional environment has given me the opportunity to develop the skills I have learnt at university and apply them to real life situations. I have learnt valuable skills about etiquette and communication in the workplace.

  • I was trusted with responsibilities right from the beginning, which built a strong relationship between myself and the team but you are never on your own, if you are struggling anyone is happy to help.

  • JDE have a brilliant internship programme and I can guarantee they take the time to show support and guidance throughout the placement. This will come not just from your team but the organisation as a whole.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Absolutely fantastic, I cannot rate it highly enough. It is a lovely place to go to work, everyone is very friendly good company culture. I think my team in particular were very social, however, this cannot be said for all.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I feel so lucky to have gotten my placement at JDE, I've heard horror stories from friends at other companies who are not having the same experience in terms of enjoyment and development I feel I got from this company. Would recommend JDE to anyone looking for a placement.

  • Remember they're not looking for the perfect candidate but for somebody with lots of potential, passion and people skills. They're looking for someone who will fit in and be a good addition to the team. Also, make sure you do your research on the company and always ask questions at the end of interviews.
