    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My daily role involved reviewing changes being made to parts on the new engine project I was assigned to - this consisted of keeping in touch with the related engineer, the Design Integration Leader and occasionally the project technical leader. I was also responsible for ensuring the parts lists were kept up to date and revised when changed, in addition to occasionally running meetings to receive and give updates on progress.

I developed a wide range of professional skills, in addition to deepening my understanding of the diesel engine - I was also able to partake in a two-day training course to breakdown and rebuild a 19L engine.
